Accounting Advisor, Country Owner Poland

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing local accounting practices, updating guidelines, and ensuring consistency in the processes across all countries. What is it all about?
As an Accounting Advisor and Country Owner at Staria, you will get the chance to take full ownership of managing and optimizing the accounting practices in Poland, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards. The position includes:
- Providing daily accounting services for our Polish subsidiaries of our Nordic group clients
- Performing monthly closing tasks and reconciliations
- Preparing financial statements independently from A to Z
- Statutory, legal, and tax reporting and consulting
- Updating guidelines for Staria’s internal use of local country practices
- Act as a subject matter expert in Polish accounting practices within the Staria team. Providing guidance and training to team members as needed, ensuring everyone is equipped with the knowledge and skills required to adhere to local practices.

You will work with NetSuite ERP, a next-generation enterprise resource planning system that provides our clients with a cloud-based and scalable financial management solution. Staria is a leading and award-winning NetSuite ERP partner in Europe and we will teach you the ins and outs of the system.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with other Country Owners to maintain consistency across all countries where Staria operates. By aligning documentation and practices, we can ensure a seamless experience for our clients and uphold our commitment to excellence.

Who are we looking for?
For this position, we are looking for candidates who are located in Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Norway, Czech Republic or Poland. To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:
- Proficiency in Polish accounting and legislation
- Strong background in accounting and closing of the books independently
- Good communication and interaction skills as you will be working closely with your team and clients
- You thrive in a dynamic and international environment
- Fluent communication skills in English. Other language skills are considered as a plus.
- Previous experience in ERP systems and knowledge in payroll is also desirable
