What's the role about?
As our business continues to grow, we are now looking for a highly skilled Group Accounting Manager to join our team!
As a Group Accounting Manager, you will be part of our experienced service team specializing in group accounting. You will have an independent area of responsibility, overseeing the group accounting and consolidated financial statements for one or several designated client companies. You will also be involved in onboarding new clients and, with your consultative approach, help them develop their financial management processes to be more efficient and streamlined. You will support our other accounting teams with specific questions related to group accounting. The exact job description will be tailored based on your experience.
Our clients are primarily medium-sized and large companies across various industries, both domestically and internationally. With global clients, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in an international environment.
We use modern tools in our financial services and continually develop our financial processes to be more efficient, utilizing technologies like robotics and artificial intelligence. It would be fantastic if you also have a passion for continuous learning and development!
Your future group accounting teammates are primarily based in Helsinki, Tampere and Tallinn. However, we are flexible about your location, and you can work remotely from anywhere in Finland, Estonia or Sweden. We do hope that you occasionally travel to meet your teammates in person.
What will help you succeed in this role?
- Extensive experience and a solid grasp of group accounting, preparing consolidated financial statements, or auditing groups. We hope you also have experience with the consolidation of foreign subsidiaries.
- In addition to knowledge of Finnish accounting legislation, we value expertise in IFRS and possibly US GAAP.
- We hope you have been involved in corporate restructuring and are familiar with the related group accounting.
- We appreciate knowledge of taxation and tax reporting.
- A consultative customer service attitude and a desire to understand and develop financial processes and practices.
- Enthusiasm and skill in working with various systems and experience with system-based group accounting solutions.
- Strong teamwork skills. You are eager to share your knowledge with others and support your colleagues – a positive team spirit and effective collaboration are highly valued here.
- A proactive approach to work, with the ability to take the initiative and act swiftly.
- We expect you to have fluent English skills, as our organization's official language is English, and we have international clients.
Why join Staria?

- Your skills will rapidly develop through various assignments. You will be involved in onboarding new clients and gain exposure to diverse group consolidations and organizations.
- You will have the support of a large house of financial management professionals and an enthusiastic group accounting team, where knowledge and help are always available. Complex accounting issues are solved together through collaboration.
- You will work in a low-hierarchy, international organization where work is done with quality and professionalism but with a light-hearted spirit.
- We support your growth and development. With the rapid growth of our business, we can offer diverse and even international career development opportunities. Let's build a career path that suits you!
- We aim to provide a workplace where people enjoy their work and feel good. We have been certified as a Future Workplaces organization, demonstrating our excellent employee experience.
